A real Chromium browser loads the page. Wait Until and Timeout decide when it counts as loaded.

The image comes back base64-encoded in the screenshot field of the response.

What is the difference between a top and a full screenshot?
top captures the visible viewport at the top of the page. full captures the entire scroll height. full is the default screenshot area.
Is JavaScript rendered before the screenshot is taken?
Yes. The Get Screenshot preset turns on real browser rendering by default, so dynamic pages, client-side scripts and layout elements render before the capture.
Can I record the page as well as screenshot it?
Yes. Turn on Record to capture a full-page recording of the rendered page, which helps confirm the page loaded correctly. The video location comes back in recording_path.
How long does a screenshot request wait for the page to load?
Wait Until defaults to DOM Content Loaded and Timeout to 300 seconds. Network Idle 0 waits until all network activity stops, which is the most thorough option and the slowest.
In what format is the screenshot returned?
As a base64-encoded image in the screenshot field of the JSON response, alongside the HTML of the page.
